IPL Laser Treatment
IPL stands for intense pulsed light. IPL is most commonly used as a permanent hair removal treatment but can also be used for a variety of other treatments such as pigmentation, and spider veins, to improve skin texture and to treat acne and scarring
Using a hand-held flashgun a spectrum of light is passed over the skin to target the melanin as it strikes the hair follicle and bulb/root. Melanin is a substance in your body that produces eye, hair and skin pigmentation. When the light is absorbed the hair follicle and bulb/root are heated, this in turn destroys the papilla which produces the hair.
- Permanent hair removal
